Locanda Al Leon ligger i en historisk, venetiansk bygning fra det 15. århundrede. Hvis man går over den nærliggende Sukkenes Bro, kommer man til Markuspladsen.

Samtlige værelser har eget badeværelse, aircondition, minibar og tv med satellitkanaler. Nogle af værelserne ligger i en moderne bygning 50 m derfra.

Locanda er et totalrenoveret, ikkeryger-hotel, med oprindelig arkitektur og traditionelle møbler, såvel i fællesområderne som på værelserne. Der serveres kontinental morgenmad dagligt i morgenmadsrestauranten, fra kl. 8.00 til 10.00.
