Poetical offers simple Western-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour public indoor/outdoor hot-spring bath, which can also be used for private-use. Norikura Kogen Ski Resort is a 5-minute drive away and Shin Shimashima Train Station is a 1-hour drive away.

The rooms are equipped with heating and are decorated They come with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. There is a private toilet, but the bathroom is shared.The hot spring baths are available 24 hours a day.

Guests can relax on the outdoor terrace. For breakfast, guests can choose from a Japanese or Western set menu (charges apply). For dinner, Japanese, Western or Chinese dishes are available, with a daily rotation. Reservations are required for dinner (charges apply). All meals are served in the dining room.

Activities available in the surrounding area include hiking, cycling and fishing. Guests can also explore the three waterfalls in Norikura Highlands.
In winter, guests can go skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing near the waterfalls.
Guests can also visit the Northern Alps and Matsumoto city, which are tourist destinations accessible from the property.

Kamikochi Sawando Car Park is a 20-minute drive away from the property. Kamikochi Bus Terminal is a 30-minute bus ride from Kamikochi Sawando Car Park.
